Silverballer | AMT Hardballer

You better watch out...

An elusive silent assassin known only as "47" is the subject of the Hitman games. His signature sidearm is a custom AMT Hardballer, known as the "Silverballer". Outfitted with Pachmayr grips and custom engravings, it is chambered in a custom .45 ACP caliber, meaning it can only fire custom-made rounds. It can be upgraded with various replacement parts and attachments, and this version is outfitted with Pachmayr grips, a 7" longslide, slide engravings (including 47's signature stamp) and a LaserMax-style guide rod-mounted laser.

This is Duztey's 1911 on arby26's magnum animations. K1CHWA did the awesome textures and materials, using IppE's as a base. The soft metal reflections are his as well, so go thank him. Now. The laser (Sparkwire's) is fully-functional, meaning you can actually aim with it. Speaking of which, I adjusted the origins so the laser dot would line up perfectly with the crosshair. You're welcome. Not that you'd really need it unless you're going HUDless. Comes with a FREE bonus gift: world model. Woo. I also put together a custom sound set for this.

Features:

  • 7" longslide
  • custom engravings
  • Pachmayr grips
  • Fully functional laser (Yes, you can aim with it.)
  • Custom .45 ACP brass
  • Reflective metal frame
  • World model
  • Custom sound set

So, the details. First of all, I know this is not an actual AMT Hardballer model. I chose this particular 1911 because it was the only one with Pachmayr-style grips. I had to extend the barrel and slide, of course. Giggity. There should be no ribs on the front part of the slide either, but whaddayagonnado. There's a minor bug with the laser; if you point the haze or dot in front of an item glow, you can see a transparent box around them. That's just the way the model was made, and L4D2 outlines models so there's not much I can do about that. You won't even notice it unless you're picking up items. The helping hand anims look a little weird too, I know.

I've noticed a problem with the skin, when I fire it sometimes, the sound glitches out big time and it makes a sound that you couldn't even describe. Is there a fix for this?

Sadly, im sure no. In all source games the audiomods are not always properly fixed up to be put in source. sometimes it seems like its working yet sometimes its glitched.

    Honestly, it's just for looks.

I know that, that's one of the reasons why the gun is unuseable. These looks make it confusing, because I got used using guns with laser sights where the laser sight play the role of making the gun more accurate, not fooling me as the laser sight in this gun.

I understand what you're saying now: You're used to laser sights increasing accuracy and this one doesn't. But somehow that's my fault?. It is not a "bug". It works exactly the way it's supposed to. It's not my fault it confuses you. How do you expect me to "fix" it, anyway? Code the game so that it behaves like a default laser, or just remove it? At any rate, I uploaded the laserless version. I would have included it by default, but I didn't think that many people would ask for it.

I'm not trying to flame, either. We can have an argument without it turning to abuse. :P

I like your gun, I use the laser version, but I also hope you release a version no laser, I always like to change ^ _ ^ Excellent animation when charging the gun, BEAUTIFUL!! PS: I have created for your gun firing by inserting the Inspector Dirty Harry, including the sound of the cartridge case which falls ^ _ ^

I love this mod.I did notice 3 glitches not mentioned abouve.1Laser is super badass strong it goes through walls on into infinity.lol.At least it helps me find it.2 Occasionaly when reloading and I swat at zoms to push them back the hand will be out of place or dissapeared all together.3 There's a texture glitch (I'm using medium shadder setting)When in bright light the textures tend to get darker or completely black,Visa versa when in darkness sometimes the weapon shows up as lit.I'm not complaining just reporting. Thanks for this super sweet 45.

Argument is over, it seem you guys want people to come here and give you 10/10 and say "great job". You got dude, you did a good job with this gun, its the best gun ever. And you know what, I am going to also remove my previous comments about this gun because this gun is so cool and accurate that everyone should download and replace whatever gun they used to have in the past. GREAT JOB WITH THIS GUN, I AM LOVING IT AND WILL USE IT FOR 1 YEAR ATLEAST BEFORE I GET BORED OF IT AND USE ANOTHER GUN LOOOOL

I don't know what you guys are fighting about. But seriously... do you need to get so realistic with GAMES? D.Haus had make a wonderful mod and stop complaining about the lasersights, the reloading bla bla etc. It's a game so, it suppose to have cons and bugs or whatever. lol

You admit in your comment that it's not my fault the magnum is inaccurate. It's not my fault you assume you'll always hit your target, either. The laser dot is right where the crosshair is and serves the same purpose. Sure, it moves around a bit, but that's because it's attached to the gun and the gun is attached to an imperfect human, not a steadycam. Honestly, it's just for looks. But I knew that if it did not line up, people would complain.

But tell you what, I'll see if I can invisify that laser and upload it to my SkyDrive soon.

Ok, the clipping complaint is valid. But you seriously want me to attach the laser to a magical robot arm that never, ever moves? At any rate, that's really a matter of personal taste.

Its not a personal taste or anything, I played this game for 2,000 hours so far and finished all campaigns on expert difficulty with 3 bots so many times, if this gun is useful in the game I would not wrote my previous comments about it.

Seriously, the laser is not accurate, when I run with the gun the laser is pointing to a target but when I shoot it does not hit the target. When you created the laser sight you failed to notice how the magnum work in this game, if I want to hit a targe with the magnum at medium to long range I must crouch to make the shot 100% accurate. If I do not crouch only 60% of my shots will hit the target if the target is at medium range, and only 20% of the shots will hit the targe if it was at long range. Also, if I am running and try to shoot a target at medium range only 50% of the shots will hit him.

The laser sight is fooling me, it make me think that every shot I do will hit its targets just because the laser is pointing to a target, that's because you forget or did not know how the magnums work in this gmae.

In order for me to make the laser accurate I have to crouch (if the target is at medium to long range), if I do not crouch most of the bullets will not hit the targe even if the laser is directly pointing at the target, also I have to stop moving if the target is at medium range if I want to make all my shots 100% accurate, if I moved while shooting at a target that is at medium range many of the shots will not hit the target even if the laser is directly pointing at the target.

Battlefield 3 has handguns with lasers, but the laser's movement is light, not too heavy like yours, that's why the guns with laser sights in BF3 do not disturb the aiming at targets as your gun do. Also, notice the red color of BF3's guns and the red color of your gun, BF3 has very light red color so that it does not disturb the view when it goes up and down while I am shooting, but your color is heavy, which disturb the videw when the laser moves up and down.

I bet you all the people who rated this gun did not even play with it, just saw the video you posted then rated the gun.

I am just trying to help you out making the gun better, you and others did the best looking AK before and I commented about it, I could not say anything wrong about it because there was nothing wrong about it to talk about. But this gun really needs a lot of fixing to make it deserver the 10/10.

In order to make the laser sight accurate the whole game needs to be reprogrammed, which can only be done by Valve. for example, valve programmed the game so that if you use a machine gun and shoot a target at long range while you are standing only 50% or even less of your shots will hit the target, and at the same time if you shoot a target at long range while you crouch 90% or more of your shots will hit the target. At the same time Valve programmed the game so that if the machinegun has laser sight and you shoot a target at long range while standing or sitting 99% of your shots will hit the target.

This is not the case for the magnum, that's why your laser sight is not giving correct aiming stats.

By the way, the only reason why I made this comment is because I wanted your gun, that's why I commented about it. If I did not like your gun's style as a whole I would not commented about it just as I did not do with Arby's new machinegun. I am not going to destroy someelse's work by giving him 0/10 just because I do not like the gun as a whole.

I liked your gun and downloaded it and was very excited to use it, I was also planning to use it to replace Arby's magnum and delete his magnum from my list, but after I found all of these errors your gun I deleted from my game and used Arby's original magnum.

I am not against you, your gun looks better than Valve's crappy magnum, its just the errors with this gun that made it unuseable.

Um, dude, I've played this game a lot less and the laser's quite handy. I would really have to chalk this up to A) incompetence or B) personal preference.
